Today my art program, The Beach Studio was in full swing at the Australian Refugee Association’s Girl Empowerment Camp. There we learnt about Mexican feminist artist, Frida Kahlo and studied the detail in her self portraits. We were inspired to paint ourselves as the empowered, strong woman Frida Kahlo represented – with a monobrow, of course! We learnt about face proportions, pattern making and what it meant to be a human being who represented confidence, resilience and strength. View the full gallery here.

Watch this space! I’m currently working on a few ‘behind the scenes’ projects that may take a little while to develop. Good news, though! I am still available for freelance illustration and graphic design work and can be contacted here. Thanks for following!
